Terms and Conditions of Registration and Participation

  1. Purpose
    These Terms and Conditions govern the registration, participation, and attendance at the 31st International Congress of Caribbean Archaeology (IACARD 2026), organized in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
  2. Mandatory Registration
    In order to attend the congress, it is mandatory to complete the registration process through the channels enabled by the organization. Registration shall only be considered valid once the registration form has been duly submitted and payment of the corresponding fee has been confirmed.
  3. Minimum Registration Deadline
    Registration must be completed at least 24 hours before the start of the congress. The organization may deny access to any person who has not completed their registration within this period, and acceptance shall be subject to maximum venue capacity.
  4. Participation Categories
    The organization provides different participation modalities, including attendees, students, observers, speakers, and any other categories that may be enabled in the registration form. The specific conditions for each category, including fees and requirements, shall be those published by the organization at the time of registration.
  5. Presentations and Communications
    The submission of papers, posters, or communications shall be subject to prior acceptance by the organization and the scientific committee, in accordance with the instructions published for each call. Registered participants undertake to comply with the deadlines, formats, and technical requirements established by the organization. Presentations will be accepted until June 1, and registration payment must be completed before that date.
  6. Conduct During the Event
    Attendees must maintain respectful behavior at all times toward the organization, technical staff, speakers, and other participants. They must also comply with schedules, venue capacities, access instructions, room usage rules, and any operational indications issued by the organization.
  7. Right of Admission
    The organization reserves the right of admission and may restrict access, permanence, or participation of any person who breaches these Terms and Conditions, disrupts the normal development of the event, behaves inappropriately, or violates the rules of coexistence, safety, or operation of the congress.
  8. Materials and Program
    The organization may modify the program, presentations, schedules, venues, or any other logistical element for organizational, technical, or force majeure reasons. In such cases, efforts will be made to inform participants of the changes as far in advance as possible.
  9. Accreditation
    Access to the congress may require personal accreditation, proof of registration, or any other verification method determined by the organization. Accreditation is personal and non-transferable unless expressly authorized.
  10. Acceptance
    Registration for and attendance at the congress imply full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
